Bulletin Seeks 60-Day Grace Period on Flood Insurance Payments: Gives Same for Agent License Renewals
IDOI issued a bulletin June 17 to ask all insurance companies doing business in Indiana to implement a 60-day moratorium on insurance policy cancellations for late payments by policyholders living in flood-impacted counties. The bulletin was signed this week, but is retroactive to cover storms from May 30.

The bulletin also states that IDOI is implementing a 60-day grace period for producer license registration and renewal requirements, as CE requirements, for agents who live in the flood-impacted counties.

NOTE: These are grace periods only – not waivers from any fees or penalties.
