Columbus, Ohio – Professional Insurance Agents of Indiana Inc. (PIA) announces its officers for the 2010 PIA board of directors.

Larry Mayfield, of Zeller Insurance Agency, Inc. in Columbus, Indiana, has been elected president. Mayfield has served on the board of directors since 2004, and is a member of PIA’s executive committee. Mayfield has also served on the membership committee. Mayfield’s term commenced Jan. 1.

Timothy Berner, LUTCF, of Berner and Company, Inc. in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been elected president-elect. Berner has served on the board of directors since 2007, and is a member of PIA’s special events committee, serving as chairman in 2009. Berner’s term commenced Jan. 1.

James W. Mansfield, CPIA, of Mansfield Insurance Agency, Inc. in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, has been elected vice president. Mansfield has served on the board since 2008 and has been a member of PIA’s membership committee since 2009. He also serves on the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) committee. Mansfield’s term commenced Jan. 1.

James Funk, CIC, CPIA, CPCU, of Central Insurance Associates, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana, has been elected to serve a fourth consecutive term as treasurer. Funk has served on the board of directors since 1999, and also served in 1981 and 1989, and was president in 1986, 1987, 2003 and 2004. Funk was named PIA’s Ralph Cleveland Professional Agent of the Year in 1990 and again in 2005. Funk’s term commenced Jan. 1.
