Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR)
An inspiring professional faculty, five ONE-DAY courses, a curriculum that's tailored to your region--all these features make the CISR Program by The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, a truly superior education opportunity. An optional exam is given at the end of each classroom course. The exam is mandatory for CISR Online.
To earn the CISR designation, you must complete all five courses and pass the exams within three years. Then, to keep your designation, you must update each year with additional continuing education courses offered by The National Alliance.
The five courses are reasonably priced and locally convenient. They are available in the classroom or through CISR Online. And, arrangements can be made to offer CISR courses in-house.
The five CISR courses are:
- Insuring Commercial Casualty Exposures
- Insuring Commercial Property
- Insuring Personal Residential Property
- Insuring Personal Auto Exposures
- Agency Operations
If you are a first time participant in the CISR program, you may be eligible for a CISR Scholarship.

Registration Fee:
$160 per person; add $4 per person per class for CE
To Register:
You have three options on registering for a class
1. Online - click on the date above and register.
2. Mail - Print the paper form and mail to PIA. 2012 CISR Registration Form
3. Phone - Call 317.899.9200 and register over the phone.
CE Credit:
Dynamics of Service = seven hours
All other CISR classes = eight hours
Exam not required for CE Credit
