Letter from the President, Jim Mansfield, CPIA 

PIA value –

2012 will be a remarkable year for PIA, and I am honored and humbled to be a part of it as your President for 2012.  There are a few things that I am particularly proud of…things that make PIA different which I want to tell you about.

The first is our membership and the “personality” of PIA. We are fortunate to be served by an outstanding group of professionals on our Board of Directors. They have been a constant source of information, encouragement, and help to me, personally and professionally. Together, they bring a remarkable 330 years of insurance experience to PIA (an average of about 28 years each). They, along with the other friends and associates I have met thru my involvement in PIA, have shared best practices and encouraged me to try new business models, new technologies, different sales and marketing techniques.  Please take a moment to click here and meet your Board…They are a valuable resource to you. 

Second is our focus on you, the Professional independent Insurance Agent. PIA has, at every meeting in the last few years, discussed what is best for our Members. Our goal is simply to provide you with greater value for your Membership, with free convention registration, more educational classes, business tools, information resources, a greater legislative presence and much more. Building a stronger organization can only be done by building stronger independent agencies…and that is our focus!

As we progress thru 2012, I hope you will keep in touch with me and your association staff. Let us know how we are doing…particularly where we can make improvements.
